Our Archives contain records and items from 1859 to the present day. The collection contains:

  • Student records
  • Complete collection of ‘Mercedes’, the school magazine
  • Photos of school events, personalities, infrastructure, class photos, exhibitions, staff, masses
  • Programs from a wide range of activities, masses, concerts, musicals, drama, sports, dedications
  • Plans (architectural, educational, appeals etc)
  • Correspondence
  • School publications
  • Uniforms, badges, trophies, boarders crockery, linens, text books
  • Educational equipment used at the school
  • Ecclesiastical items

The book Mercy Girls covers the history of Sacred Heart College and is available from Reception.

The Archives are located at the College in Newtown. The collection continues to grow through donations from current and former staff, students and the acquisition of items important to the history of our College.
