Enrolments College Tours

Thank you to all who attended the My Learning Journey Subject and Career Expo yesterday. The Innovation Precinct was abuzz, with various stallholders from universities, a careers-focused alumni panel and our subject specialists providing first-hand advice and guidance on career pathways.

  • Wednesday 15 July: Year 9 Learner Readiness Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences
  • Wednesday 22 July: Year 10 Learner Readiness Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences

Subject Selections Open:

  • Year 7: Tuesday 21 July
  • Year 8: Thursday 23 July
  • Year 9: Monday 27 July
  • Year 10: Tuesday 28 July
  • Year 11: Monday 20 July

Subject Selections Due:

  • Wednesday 5 August

As we approach the end of both Term Two and Semester One, our students are immersed in a period of assessment and exams as units are being finalised. This can be a time of heightened stress for some students. If your daughter is expressing concern, your first point of contact should be to log onto Canvas, where weekly work outlines are provided. If you remain unclear, please email the subject teacher, who is best placed to provide guidance. Please see below for a more detailed outline of our Communication Pathways: Supporting Your Child's Learning and Wellbeing.

On Tuesday 16 June, all students who are undertaking the VCE Unit 3 and 4 subjects, as well as the VCE VM, will sit the General Achievement Test (GAT). This year, the GAT will involve 373 students. The GAT includes Literacy (Reading and Writing) and Numeracy from 9.00am to 11.15am. This will be followed by a break, after which VCE students will undertake the General Knowledge and Skills section, from 1.15pm to 3.00pm.

Given the number of students involved in the GAT, Tuesday 16 June is a student-free day for all students not involved in the test. This is an opportunity for Year 10 and 11 students to study for their exams scheduled for Wednesday 17 to Monday 22 June, and for our McAuley students (Years 7 to 9) to complete assessment work at home. On this day, staff will facilitate the GAT and engage in on-site professional learning with Kristy Elliott, who is best known for her work in restorative practices.

On Friday 12 June we celebrate the Feast of the Sacred Heart. For those of you who are alumni, you will remember the FOSH Day celebrations, which normally began with the Eucharist and were followed by activities. In 2001, when the College transitioned to its first lay principal, our attention turned to making the Mercy tradition more prominent, and our celebrations moved to Mercy Day, which occurs in September.
