Our Alumni Association is a vibrant and diverse network of graduates living and working across Australia and around the world. It brings together women from different generations, backgrounds and professions, all connected by their time at Sacred Heart.
As a graduate, you become part of a thriving community of more than 7,000 women. It is a modern, engaged network that honours the College's rich history while actively contributing to its future.
Your Sacred Heart journey doesn’t end when you leave the College. If you attended Sacred Heart, you are automatically part of the Alumni Association – no sign-up required. Through this connection, you will have opportunities to stay involved and engaged, including attending events, guest speaker sessions, concerts, networking opportunities and social gatherings. With no membership fees, the Alumni Association offers a welcoming space to maintain friendships, build new connections and remain part of something truly special.
Since our earliest graduates left their mark on the world, our past students have cherished their ties with Sacred Heart. Our formal network began with the Past Pupils' Association in 1924 and evolved into the Old Collegians' Association in 1932. This community owed its initial success to three remarkable women: President Mrs Mary McCabe Doyle (nee Ryan) and Secretaries Miss Aloysia Byrne and Miss Nellie O'Brien, who established the Association's constitution and early archives.
Although there were many past reunions, including the Golden Jubilee in 1910, the first official reunion was marked in 1924. As the decades passed, our alumni footprint grew far beyond Geelong, leading to the creation of dedicated chapters in Melbourne during the 1930s and the Western District in 1981 – the latter bringing together our tight-knit former boarding community.
Honouring this extraordinary legacy, the modern Sacred Heart Alumni Association is a vibrant, inclusive network that continues to evolve as a dynamic community. We continuously adapt to support our contemporary graduates, remaining dedicated to nurturing lifelong connections, celebrating shared history and championing the global community of Sacred Heart women.
Composed of passionate graduates from diverse eras and industries, the Alumni Association Committee serves as a vital bridge between our former students and the current College community. Through a curated calendar of reunions, regular communications and networking events, the Committee works strategically to ensure that the unique bond shared by Sacred Heart women remains vibrant and lifelong.
