Principal
As Principal of a Catholic girls' secondary school in the Mercy tradition, Anna leads the College community in its mission to educate young women academically, spiritually and personally, grounded in the values of the Catholic faith. Anna is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the College, fostering a positive and enriching learning environment while upholding our Catholic identity and ethos. This includes overseeing curriculum, faculty, student life and the College's relationship with the broader community.

Deputy Principal – Student Engagement, Development and Empowerment
Jason's focus is on fostering a positive, inclusive and empowering learning environment at Sacred Heart. This role ensures that students are engaged in their education, supported in their personal development and equipped with the skills and confidence to thrive academically and socially.

Deputy Principal – Pedagogy, Learning Design and Innovation
Ash fosters student growth by focusing on the excellence of classroom practice. This role sets the strategic direction for curriculum development – with an emphasis on transdisciplinary learning – while empowering teachers to refine their craft. By delivering rich, discipline-based knowledge and skill development through innovative assessment, Ash ensures our teaching remains at the cutting edge. Additionally, Ash evaluates emerging educational research and global trends to ensure their seamless and effective application within our College.

Deputy Principal – Staffing and Student Programs
Tanya is privileged to actively lead in a faith community. This role prioritises the attraction and retention of exceptional and specialised teaching staff, promoting and fostering the capacity of all teachers to ensure the maximum breadth of learning opportunities for students. Further, Tanya focuses on best practice development of the College timetable to support the diverse range of student programs offered at Sacred Heart.

Faith, Identity and Mission Leader
Amanda plays a key role in leading, shaping and embedding the Catholic identity and Mercy ethos into all aspects of life at Sacred Heart. This role fosters a culture of faith, service and justice in the spirit of Catherine McAuley. Amanda promotes a deep understanding and appreciation of Catholic Education, enabling the formation of the whole person in line with Gospel values. Overseeing faith formation and driving strategic initiatives, the role strengthens our Catholic identity and ensures our College community actively lives out its mission and values.

Leader of Business Operations
Susan's role is to optimise our College's business operations, strengthen financial capacity, and provide strategic leadership to support informed decision-making and change management. This includes close collaboration with the Principal on strategic initiatives, such as the College's Master Plan and major capital works projects. Susan ensures rigorous adherence to occupational health and safety, risk and compliance, with a strong focus on site management and security, creating a safe and efficient environment for the entire College community and beyond.

Leader of Development, Marketing and Communications
Emma's role is to foster strong relationships within our community – students, staff, families and alumni – and to strategically integrate philanthropy, community engagement, events, marketing and communications, student enrolments and archives. This unified approach ensures a clear understanding and provides robust support for the College's mission within the broader community.

Director of E Learning
Mark's role is to oversee all technology infrastructure, ensuring its smooth operation and security at the College. This role allows him to support staff and students in leveraging technology for teaching and learning, and involves strategic planning, budgeting and staying current with educational technology trends.

Mercy Education Limited is an incorporated ministry of the Sisters of Mercy of Australia and Papua New Guinea (ISMAPNG), charged with operating all educational ministries for which the Institute has sole sponsorship. Mercy Education is one of the many works operated by the Institute throughout Australia and Papua New Guinea.
Mercy Education operates at all times in accordance with the mission of the Catholic Church and in strict conformity with the Institute's ethical framework, as determined by the Institute Leader and Council from time to time.
ISMAPNG is involved with thirteen fully sponsored schools; the governance role of the Board of Mercy Education includes setting policies, approving strategic plans, appointing Principals, approving senior leadership positions, and conducting due diligence in finance and audit management, capital development, risk management and litigation.
Mercy Education is the Employer of the Principal and staff of the Mercy Colleges. The existence of Mercy Education gives strength, support and solidarity to each of the member Mercy schools and their community.
