Our Arts Day was a day of celebration and fun! Although the weather was not kind, that did not dampen our spirits in any way! As always, Arts Day proved to be a popular excuse to dress up, and the College was full of creative and original costumes that reflected a lot of thought and effort.
The many creative workshops on offer helped amazing artistic expression to flourish, while the more relaxing activities allowed those taking part to relax and enjoy each other’s company. Live bands rocked on throughout the day, providing great musical entertainment for everyone passing through. The karaoke and Just Dance stations allowed anyone to have a go at singing and dancing. The Bake Off display in the Atrium was a sight to see - it would be so hard to pick a winner!
The House Competition performances in McAuley Hall were very well attended, with those unlucky enough to miss out on a seat able to watch the livestream in the PAC foyer and the Atrium. And what an amazing array of talent we witnessed! There were performances in Instrumental, Theatre, Dance and Small Group Vocal, and the standard of performance across the board was outstanding.! The many hours of rehearsals undertaken was obvious by the calibre and professionalism displayed in each and every performance. How talented our students are here at SHC!
At the end of the day we all gathered in the Sports and Wellness Precinct for the traditional Costume Parade and Whole House Singing, which are always a highlight! Then there was the announcement of the winners from the House Competitions, followed by the overall winning results:
| First Place | Padua |
| Second Place | Siena |
| Third Place | Clairvaux |
| Fourth Place | Loyola |
A massive thank you goes to all the staff, organisers, student leaders and helpers who worked behind the scenes to make the day run so smoothly. Your time, planning and hard work made the day a great success for our whole school community.
