Enrolments College Tours

Our Music Department has been very busy lately!

The MYP4 Music class (Years 9 to 10) were fortunate to spend the day at Oxygen College’s recording studio, Don’t Poke The Bear.

Each band had the exciting opportunity to record a song in a professional master recording studio, working alongside experienced sound engineers. The students loved stepping into the role of professional musicians and gaining a real insight into the recording process. It was a fantastic day full of creativity, collaboration, and music-making!

Student performers attended the annual Combined Strings Day at Christian College. With 94 students from five schools coming together, it was a wonderful celebration of music and collaboration.

Our 16 students, ranging from Years 7 to 11, joined the combined ensemble for the afternoon, rehearsing three pieces together before performing them for families in a short concert. One of the highlights of the performance was a moment of cello twirling in one of the pieces — a fun surprise that had the audience smiling!

It was a fantastic afternoon of music-making, teamwork, and connection between young string players from across the schools.
