On the weekend of Friday 13 March to Sunday 15 March, forty of our rowers made their way to the Barwon River to compete in their final rowing regatta of the season, alongside over 2000 other students from schools across Victoria. We are so incredibly proud of these students and their coaches in how they competed with such determination over the weekend. On and off the water they displayed much commitment and teamwork, and in so doing created lifelong friendships and memories.
Although the season only began six months ago, we saw every crew achieve personal bests across the weekend. Many came away with wins; and there were some tough lessons learned along the way too. All crews raced in finals, with some crews making it all the way to their respective A Final, fighting it out for a medal. It's safe to say that all rowers left every bit of energy they had out there on the water.
