Enrolments College Tours

This year, on Thursday 5 November, we will hold our annual Remembrance Service in our beautiful College chapel. Grounded in Catholic liturgical tradition and aligned with the observances of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day, the service offers our community a dedicated space to honour, reflect upon and give thanks for loved ones who have passed away, especially throughout the year.

Those in attendance are invited to bring framed photographs of their deceased loved ones to place along the chapel altar, and to light individual candles in memory of those they hold dear. The candlelight symbolises the Christian hope of eternal life, the warmth of cherished memories and the belief that love transcends death. To support a sense of unity and solidarity, along with the candle community members will be given a rosemary plant. Students in RE classes have created prayer cards for loved ones, which will be offered as part of the service.

The service strongly reflects the Sisters of Mercy tradition, which places compassion, hospitality and solidarity at the heart of community life. Experiencing loss can often feel isolating, but the College’s gathering provides a supportive environment where personal grief is acknowledged within a caring fellowship.

Our Remembrance Service provides comfort, hope and connection, and is a dearly treasured tradition. It offers a vital annual pause in the busy school calendar, and give all in attendance a moment to reflect on their loved ones who have died, and celebrate the legacy they leave behind.
