Enrolments College Tours

In May the Year 12 Literature class spent a wonderful day in Melbourne. They went on an educational tour and scavenger hunt at the Victorian State Library, with the tour including an exhibition of love letters though the ages. At the library they discovered many fun facts, including:

  • The library has over eight million pieces of information
  • The library once had a person who was the ‘shhher’ who sat in the middle of the La Trobe Reading Room
  • Every copy of a Victorian Newspaper is kept at the library
  • It is the third busiest library in the world
  • They once had lion statues that were borrowed by the zoo and never returned.

The students also were given a tour of Melbourne University for lunch and watched a matinee performance of The Glass Menagerie at the Sumner Theatre.
